Since 1990, Schneider Senator offers a data interface and external programming of guillotines.

Buchholz. Today, the external programming of guillotines is a standard procedure as well as automatic generation of a program by transfer of pre-press data. By using the data transfer from pre-press with automatic generation of complex cutting programs you can save up to 30 minutes manual programming on the cutting machine f.e. for mixed sticker sheets.

Already since 1990, Schneider Senator offers external programming and direct data transfer from pre-press. This software is applicable independently from manufacturer and machine type and is 100% compatible to the software in use, provided that the files are converted to jdf. This compatibility is vital to preserve the independency of printers opposite to the various suppliers.

The optional software “XC-Pro V” enables external programming of the cutter as well as direct data transfer and processing from pre-press according to CIP 3 and CIP 4, which is the industrial standard jdf. For this purpose you need a serial interface between plate copier or other machines and a PC. The easy to use Windows compatible software runs on all standard industrial PC’s. The “XC-Pro V” software from Schneider Senator generates the optimal cutting program from the transferred pre-press data automatically. In case of any error occurring during input of the cutting program, the user is given a warning by the software indicating the type of mistake. So, the generation of a non practical program is impossible.
     
 

The complete program is transferred to the cutter by IC-card or directly by network cable. The program can be started without any delay. The machine control enables an automatic correction to settle possible sheet stretching. After the first and second cut the difference between program value and input value is generated/calculated and at the push of a button the correction occurs automatically (optionally linear or percentagewise). Due to this comfort function the machine does not require any make ready time.

In addition, the optional software “Data Master” enables the logging of operational data from the paper cutter. So production times per program, make ready times, pause times and further relevant data can be readout and exported, too.
Schneider Senator offers a second XC-Pro software type. This version also includes programming functions but without transfer of pre-press data according to CIP standards. The program transfer to the machine can be carried out by IC-card or online connection between cutter and pre-press. This version also includes the above mentioned option for automatic correction of sheet stretching.

Both software versions enable externally generated cutting programs and provide noticeable savings on make ready times at the cutter.

The media/storage medium IC-card is standard equipment for Schneider Senator cutting machines with control type “CT” with touch-screen. The software versions with “card loader” or network connection could be directly ordered at the manufacturer.
