Senator Technology acquires 100% of the shares of DISA SERF in Lorient, France

Buchholz. With effect January 1, 2007, Senator Technology GmbH has acquired 100 % of the shares of Disa Serf SAS in Lorient, France. The new company will operate under the name of

SERF SAS - a Senator Technology Company

and is dedicated, as hitherto, to the development, manufacture and service of finishing equipment for the aluminium and grey iron foundry industry.

With it, Senator Technology GmbH not only gains a highly productive manufacturing facility in France but also first-class capacities for the development of machines and tools for all sectors of finishing machinery for the casting industry.

With combined sales exceeding 24 million Euro in 2006, Senator Technology GmbH by this combination now is capable to offer complete solutions for the fabrication of aluminium castings in gravity die casting from liquid material to finished product and complete solutions for the processing of aluminium castings and grey iron parts. For this reason, Senator Technology widens their technological spectrum and uses the synergy effects in the fields of construction and product development.

We believe that this action is consistent with the market trend in our industry to increase our
ability to offer competitive products and hence secure a continuous development, greater manufacturing efficiencies and capacities on global platforms.
